Inscription.  In 1821 the Indiana-Illinois state line was surveyed by General John Tipton for Indiana and Samuel McClintoc for Illinois. They ran the line and marked each mile of it from Vincennes to Lake Michigan.
 
Erected 1966 by Indiana Sesquicentennial Commission. (Marker Number 56.1966.1.)

The crossroad is at the Illinois-Indiana state boundary line and is known as County Road 800W in Indiana and County Road 3200E in Illinois. Touch for map.
