1. Old Pearce Post Office Marker
Inscription. A Post Office was established in the Pearce Camp in 1896. At that time the Soto Bros and Chattman Store served as the first Post Office location with Thomas Chattman as the first appointed postmaster. The Post Office was later relocated to this adobe building. Gladys McLeod was the last post mistress to serve at this location. The Post Office was moved to the Sunsites area in 1967.
