Inscription. 1423 erstmals erwähnt als «Halbart» .
Das mittelalterliche Wohnhaus wurde im 18. Jh. mit dem südlich anstossenden Nachbargebäude unter einem Giebeldach vereinigt.
1928 schuf der Kunstmaler Christian Schmidt (1862-1937) die Fassadenmalerei mit der Darstellung des Städtchens Sempach.
