Inscription. A Renaissance Revival classic, notable for its architectural beauty and its terra cotta ornament. It was the first skyscraper, and introduced "modern" building design in the heart of Long Beach's original commercial district.

Erected 1988 by City of Long Beach Cultural Heritage Commission.
