Clothing stores were operated from this building for over 100 years. Most of the merchants sold only men's clothing except Oliver's which sold women's clothing. Names of the business owners were Hadley, McMillan, Garrett, Rowe, Wright, and Oliver. In the 1980's-'90's there was a dance studio in the back of the first floor. An interior decorating store opened after the clothing stores closed. The second floor has been an apartment. At one time, the building was owned by the Presbyterian Church.

Erected 2008 by Madison County Antique Association.
