This plaque was unveiled by
The Honourable Frank Mackenzie Ross,
C.M.G., M.C., LL.D.
Lieutenant Governor of the
Province of British Columbia
on May 19th, 1959, to mark the official opening of the 10th Government House built to replace the former residence destroyed by fire
April 15th, 1957.

Planned and constructed under the authority of
the Hon. W. N. Chant, Minister of Public Works, Province of British Columbia.
Built by John Laing and Son, (Canada) Limited.
