Regarding Marine Terminal Building. Chicago architect Albert Hecht designed the imposing Marine Terminal Building in 1917. Since that time, various manufacturing, docking, warehouse and office facilities have used this space positioned east of the Broadway St. bridge allowing for convenient access to and from Lake Michigan. Rexnord Stearns Division occupied the site until 2003, when the Mandel Company bought it to convert it to commercial space and condos. - Historic Third Ward Walking Tour brochure
