1. South Carolina Champion Oak Marker
Inscription. The live oak between houses 513 and 515 Prince Street is registered with The American Forestry Associates as a State Champion – South Carolina. In 1940 the tree was estimated to be over 500 years old, and it measured 23 feet in circumference, 120 feet tall, with a crown spread of 125 feet.
