Inscription. Books which young Ronald Reagan borrowed from the Dixon Public Library helped him shape lifelong values. At nine years of age in 1920 he received card number 3695, becoming a frequent Library visitor and an avid reader throughout his Dixon years. This building has been designated as a historical landmark by the Dixon Historical Preservation commission.
