1. Springfield County Seat Marker
Inscription. Springfield was named as the seat of justice for Robertson County in 1796. By 1798 a town survey and map were completed and the lots sold for $8.00 each. The Public Square is on the National Register as a Historic District.
 
Erected by Charlotte Reeves Robertson Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
