Ici, au numéro 9 de cette rue, a vécu Edmond Marin la Meslée. As des as de la Campagne de France 1939-1940, affecté en 1937 sur la base aérienne 112, au Group de Chasse 1/5. Mort au Champ d'Honneur en Alsace le 4 Février 1945. Il fut choisi en 1953 pour donner son nom à l base Aérienne de Reims.

Here at number 9 in this street lived Edmond Marin la Meslée. Fighter pilot ace of the French 1939-1940 campaign. In 1937 he was assigned to Air Base 112, in fighter pilot section 1/5. A war hero, he died in action in Alsace on the 4th of February 1945. His memory was honoured by choosing to name the Rheims Air Base after him.
