The left of the marker features a Continental soldier warming himself before the hearth in his hut at Jockey Hollow during the bitter winter of 1780. The upper right of the marker contains a picture of soldiers in the woods firing upon enemy troops. Below that is a picture of Continental troops lined up for inspection.
