Inscription.  Organized in 1856. Existing building constructed in 1898. Oldest Baptist church building in Livingston Parish. Drinking water furnished by ground water spring. Surrounding area settled by Anglo-Saxon Protestants in 1800's.
Erected 1975 by Livingston Parish Police Jury.
