Regarding H. T. Henryson House. Statement of Significance excerpt:
Built in 1903, the H. T. Henryson house, (Bartlett Museum) is locally
significant under Criterion C as the best remaining example of the Late
Victorian Queen Anne style home built in Story City, Iowa around the late
1800's-early 1900's. The home is an outstanding example of the style and
quality of construction reflecting the growth and development of this
community by the Norwegian immigrants at the beginning of the 20th century.
The house has been used as a residence from the time it was built until
1996 when it was purchased by the Story City Historical Society with funds
provided by Dr. Francis Bartlett Kinne. It has

1. Henryson House
Hello, my name is Teddi Ball. I am the great granddaughter of Henry T. Henryson. My grandfather was Arnold Henryson on my mothers side. A special thank you for preserving Norwegian heritage through the renovation of the Henryson House/Bartlett Museum. I know my family would be extremely proud to know the Norwegian legacy and the history of Story City has been preserved to show the struggles and accomplishments of a bygone era. A sincere thank you.
