1. Legion of Merit Marker
Inscription. The Legion of Merit was the first American decoration awarded to citizens of Foreign Nations. There are four degrees of award. They are Chief Commander, Commander, Officer, and Legionaire/Legion of Merit. Only the Legion of Merit is awarded to members of the Armed Forces of the United States. Individuals receive this award for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding service and achievements. The duty must have been such as to merit the recognition of key individuals.
 
Erected 2012 by the Veterans Council of Northwest Arkansas and Many Concerned Citizens and Organizations.
