Inscription. Built by Samuel Tuttle, grandson of Joseph Tuttle, Colonel in Morris Militia, and County Freeholder. House occupied by Tuttle descendants until 1913. Dwelling borders Old Whippany Cemetery.
 
Erected by New Jersey Register of Historic Places, Morris County Heritage Commission.
