1. Irvine Park Marker
Inscription. Indians gathered acorns here long before Columbus' time. In 1897, James Irvine, Jr. gave the people their long-time favorite "picnic grounds." The original 160-acre grove was known as Orange County Park until 1928.
 
Erected 1976 by Orange County Board of Supervisors and Orange County Historical Commission. (Marker Number 5.)
