Inscription. The "Big Train" was an All-American Halfback and track star at Marquette University, 1929-1932. A halfback of the Chicago Bears, Division Champions of the National Football League, 1932-1934 and World Champions, 1932-1933. Born, December 11, 1906 at New Haven, Connecticut. Elected 1970

Erected 1971 by Presented to the Hall of Fame by The Bankers Life Des Moines, Iowa.
