Inscription. Known as "The Horse" this crushing full-back starred for Wisconsin from 1951 through 1954, All-Conference and All-American in 1953 and 1954 and Heisman Trophy winner as a senior. A Baltimore Colt standout in the N.F.L. from 1955 through 1960. Born, June 1, 1933, at Kenosha, Wis. Elected in 1967.

Erected 1968 by Presented to the Hall of Fame by Gisholt Machine Company A division of Giddings & Lewis, Inc. Madison, Wisconsin.
