C-46 Commando
The C–46 is one of only three aircraft that served in our country's last three wars; WW II, Korea, and Southeast Asia. During the Southeast Asia conflict, the aircraft flew for Air America, the US sponsored airline of the Republic of Vietnam, the other two aircraft are on display here also, the A/B 26 and the C–47.
The C–46 last flew for the USAF in 1968 while assigned to the Air Force's Southern Command.
