Location. 34° 56.228′ N, 85° 14.322′ W. Marker is near Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia, in Catoosa County. Marker can be reached from Reeds Bridge Road west of Rock Haven Lane, on the right when traveling west. This tablet cannot be seen from the roadway and is located at the end of a short trail, that goes north off of the roadway, a short distance into the woods. Touch for map. More about this marker. The trailhead that leads to the location of this tablet is on the north side of the roadway, nearly opposite across the street, from the Battery I, 4th U.S. Artillery tablet that is situated, between two cannons, in a clearing on the south side of the roadway.
In locating this tablet I used the "Chickamauga Battlefield" map, that I purchased at the Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park, Visitor Center, to determine both the marker number for this tablet and the tablet's location in relation to the rest of the park's monuments, markers, and tablets. According to the map it provides the, "numerical listing of all monuments, markers, and tablets on the Chickamauga Battlefield (using the Chick-Chatt NMP Monument Numbering System).”
