1. French Artillery Park Marker
Inscription. Cannon were repaired and stored here. The time-worn earthworks visible on each side of the road were for protection, probably built by the French soldiers who operated the “Park.”

Location. 37° 12.436′ N, 76° 31.662′ W. Marker is in Yorktown, Virginia, in York County. Marker is on Historical Tour Drive, on the right when traveling north. Touch for map. Marker is located on the Yorktown Battlefield in Colonial National Historical Park, at stop J on the Allied Encampment Tour. Marker is in this post office area: Yorktown VA 23690, United States of America.
