1. Boyd House "The Oaks" Marker
Inscription. Built ca. 1853 for James H. Boyd, Mayor of Jackson, 1842, 1844, 1850, and 1858. One of the few homes to survive the Civil War, the Greek Revival house is listed on National Register of Historic Places.
 
Erected 1975 by the Mississippi Department of Archives and History.

Location. 32° 18.49′ N, 90° 10.564′ W. Marker is in Jackson, Mississippi, in Hinds County. Marker is on North Jefferson Street 0.1 miles south of Boyd Street, on the right when traveling south.
