Erected 1954 by the State of Arkansas.
 
Location. 32° 22.114′ N, 90° 50.738′ W. Marker is in Vicksburg National Military Park, Mississippi, in Warren County. Marker is on Confederate Avenue 0.1 miles south of Old Graveyard Road, on the right when traveling south. Touch for map. More about this marker. The memorial was erected in 1954 by the McNeel Company of Marietta, Georgia and dedicated on August 2, 1954. The cost of $50,000 was appropriated by the State of Arkansas. It was fabricated of Mount Airy, North Carolina marble.
