Iki odali W/8-9 no''lu dükkân, muhtemelen boya üretim ve satis yeri olarak kullanilmistir. Her iki odaya da dogruca revaktan ulasilabiliyordu. Daha küçük olan W9 no''lu odanin tabani tuglalarla kapliydi ve olasilikla depo olarak kullanilmaktaydi. Daha büyük oda ise tas ve pismis toprak tuglalar ile döseliydi. Pigmentlerin ögütülmesinde, tastan yapilmis bir havan kullanilmis olabilir Odanin kuzeydogu kösesinde, devsirme mezar tasi ile 2. yüzyila ait onursal dikilitas (stel) kullanlarak yapilmis olan bir su tanki yer alir. Bu mermerlerin üzerine kazinmis olan büyük haçlar Hristiyan is sahibinin fikirlerini ve su rezervini korumaya olan ilgisini yansitmaktadir.

English Text:

The two-room shop at W8-9 may have been used for the preparation and sale of dyes and paints. Both rooms were directly accessible from the portico. The smaller space (W9) was paved with tiles and may have been used for storage. The larger room (W8) was partly paved with stone slabs and terracotta tiles. of two reused marble slabs, a gravestone and a honorific stele of the 2nd century. Large crosses incised on the front of both slabs express the sentiments of the Christian owner and his interest in protecting his water supply.
 
Erected by The Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Republic of Turkey, and the Harvard Art Museums and Cornell University.
 
Location. 38° 29.308′ N, 28° 2.356′ E. Marker is near Sart, Manisa, in Salihli (district). Marker can be reached from Kenan Evren Cd. just east of Sart Yolu, on the left when traveling east. Touch for map. This marker is on the grounds of the Sardis Archaeological Park, near the Roman Bath-Gymnasium and Synagogue, amongst the "Byzantine Shop" ruins that line the Roman Avenue. Marker is in this post office area: Sart, Manisa 45370, Turkey.
