Inscription. Elected third national president of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. First Greek letter sorority for African-American Women.

Initiated into Zeta Chapter at Wilberforce University.

Held membership for more than 50 years in Alpha Kappa Alpha. Affectionately known as "Miss A.K.A."

Served as the first Great Lakes Regional director and sixth president of Alpha Omega chapter.
