where varsity and intramural athletes shook down the thunder for seventy years 1898-1968.

President Franklin D. Roosevelt
addressed a special University convocation in the Fieldhouse December 9, 1935.

The building was razed in 1983.

The southwest corner of the fieldhouse remains after its demolition in 1983. The main marker is on the right in this photograph; the Collegiate Jazz Festival Marker is on the north side of the remaining fieldhouse corner.
