1. Siberia East Marker
Inscription. So called for their isolation, the cells located in the towers of this cell house were used to remove troublesome inmates from the rest of the prison population. Inmates assigned to the Siberia cells had committed major rule infractions, or in rare cases, had requested such extreme isolation.

Marker can be reached from the intersection of Main Street (Business U.S. 90) and Texas Avenue, on the right when traveling south. Marker is located on the Old Montana Prison Museum grounds, beside the sidewalk near the entrance to the 1912 Cell House northeast tower, AKA "Siberia East". Touch for map.
