Inscription.  This fountain marks the northeastern terminal of the Continental Road, constructed under the supervision of General James Clinton, to Otsego Lake June 17, 1778
 
Location. 42° 54.331′ N, 74° 34.341′ W. Marker is in Canajoharie, New York, in Montgomery County. Marker is at the intersection of Church Street (New York State Route 10) and Mohawk Street (New York State Route 5S), on the right when traveling south on Church Street. Touch for map.
