1. Courthouse Burned Marker
Inscription.  Twenty-two Kentucky courthouses were burned during Civil War, nineteen in last fifteen months: twelve by Confederates, eight by guerrillas, two by Union accident. See map on reverse side. The courthouse at Albany was burned by guerrillas late in 1864 and all county records destroyed.
 
Erected 1963 by Kentucky Historical Society, Kentucky Department of Highways. (Marker Number 597.)

Marker is at the intersection of Jefferson Street and South Cross Street (Business U.S. 127), on the left when traveling east on Jefferson Street. Located at the Clinton County Courthouse.
