Inscription. First steam-powered cotton mill in N.C. Operated ca. 1934-80 in large brick building that stood 2 blocks N.
 
Erected 2001 by North Carolina Office of Archives ad History. (Marker Number J 104.)
 
Location. 36° 4.408′ N, 79° 47.477′ W. Marker is in Greensboro, North Carolina, in Guilford County. Marker is at the intersection of North Greene Street and West Friendly Avenue, on the right when traveling north on North Greene Street. Touch for map.
