Inscription. Attorney-General of Confederacy, Governor of N.C. 1855-59, U.S. Senator. Home stands one block north.
 
Erected 1936 by North Carolina State Historical Commission. (Marker Number E-6.)
 
Location. 36° 23.389′ N, 77° 25.188′ W. Marker is in Jackson, North Carolina, in Northampton County. Marker is on West Jefferson Street (U.S. 158) east of Thomas Bragg Drive, on the right when traveling west. Touch for map. The marker is located on the southwest corner of the Northampton County Courthouse Square. Marker is in this post office area: Jackson NC 27845, United States of America.
