Erected in 1893
by the citizens of Antwerp, N.Y.
in memory of the soldiers and the sailors
of 1861-1865.

Marker is at the intersection of Main Street (County Route 194) and Madison Street, on the right when traveling east on Main Street. Touch for map. Memorial Park is a 1.25-acre sloping site dedicated in 1894. At the top of the slope is a 40-foot Barre granite Soldiers ad Sailors Monument, the design of which is attributed to Saint Gaudens, commemorating the Civil War Service of some 400 Town of Antwerp boys and men. Located at the corner of Madison Avenue
