This regiment was engaged here from 12 M. to 2 P.M. April 6, 1862. It then fell back to Jones Field.
 
Erected by Shiloh National Military Park Commission. (Marker Number 39.)
 
Location. 35° 8.458′ N, 88° 21′ W. Marker is near Shiloh, Tennessee, in Hardin County. Marker is at the intersection of Sherman Road and McClernand Road, on the right when traveling south on Sherman Road. 100 yards west of intersection on trail in woods, in Shiloh National Military Park.
