1. Lines of Defense Marker
Inscription. Surrounding defenses made St. Augustine a walled town. From here you can see a reconstructed part of the Cubo Line, the log wall which barred the land approach. It extended from the fort, past the City Gate, to the San Sebastián River.
 
Location. 29° 53.874′ N, 81° 18.708′ W. Marker is in St. Augustine, Florida, in Saint Johns County. Marker can be reached from South Castillo Drive (State Road A1A), on the right when traveling north. Touch for map. Located at the parapet of Castillo de San Marcos. Marker is in this post office area: Saint Augustine FL 32084, United States of America.

3. Cubo Line Seen from the Marker Location
The Cubo Line reconstruction are the works extending directly out from the fort towards Castillo Drive. The Cubo Line runs perpendicular to the outer defenses of the Castillo.
