1. Deep Space Station - 14 Marker
Inscription. As a communication platform: Supporting space exploration beginning with the Mariner 4 mission to Mars, and through the years providing a vital link to NASA's robot explorers across the solar system, including Voyager, Mars Exploration Rovers, Casini and Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter.

As a radio/radar telescope: Studying the nearest asteroids and planets to the distant quasars and objects in the universe.
