The Chilean Community of Northern California and the Consulate General of Chile in San Francisco present this plaque in honor of José Manuel Ramírez Rosales A Chilean 49er, pioneer, artist, visionary and co-founder of the City of Marysville, who, in 1851, built this magnificent home known as “The Castle” with timber brought from Chile.

Erected 2011 by Chilean Community of Northern California and the Consulate General of Chile.
