Inscription. Created in 1923 to serve sanitation needs of Western Orange County. Reorganized into Sanitation Districts in 1954.
 
Erected 1976 by Fountain Valley Historical Society. (Marker Number 13.)
 
Location. 33° 41.649′ N, 117° 56.227′ W. Marker is in Fountain Valley, California, in Orange County. Marker is at the intersection of Ellis Avenue and Unnamed road to Orange County Sanitation District, on the right when traveling east on Ellis Avenue. Touch for map. Across the street from San Diego Freeway offramp/onramp. Ellis Avenue becomes Euclid Street at this intersection.
