1. Kellar Grist Mill Marker
Inscription. Adam Kellar began constructing a stone mill race on Sand Creek, 1813, and opened grist mill, 1823. Mill was important to local economy and was an impetus for development: state road to mill established, 1834, and Brewersville founded, 1837. Flatboats carried mill products as far as New Orleans. Mill was closed after damage in 1937 flood.
 
Erected 1997 by Indiana Historical Bureau and Jennings County Historical Society. (Marker Number 40.1997.2.)

View to south along N. Base Road. Sand Creek is located on both the east side and the west side of the road.

3. Kellar Mill Race
The Kellar mill race was chiseled out of the bedrock in a long bend of Sand Creek. The marker is located on the left side of the bridge crossing the mill race.
