Location. 45° 8.25′ N, 89° 8.349′ W. Marker is in Antigo, Wisconsin, in Langlade County. Marker can be reached from the intersection of Aurora Street and 7th Avenue, on the left when traveling south. Touch for map. Monument is at Soldier's Circle in Antigo Cemetery. Marker is in this post office area: Antigo WI 54409, United States of America.

"The remains of Gen. J. A. Kellogg, which were buried at Wausau fourteen years ago with military honors, were removed last week to Faribault, Minnesota, by his relatives. He was a gallant soldier and at the time of the surrender of Gen. Lee at Appomattox, he was in command of the illustrious Iron Brigade." —Marshfield Times, Friday, May 21, 1897, Marshfield, Wisconsin
