1. Michigan Street Baptist Church Marker
Inscription. Before the Civil War, escaping slaves were hidden in a concealed area in the basement of this church until they could escape to fredom in Canada.
 
Erected 1996 by Harriet Tubman 300's Club, Buffalo & Erie County Historical Society.
 
Location. 42° 53.178′ N, 78° 52.047′ W. Marker is in Buffalo, New York, in Erie County. Marker is on Michigan Avenue south of Broadway, on the right when traveling north. Touch for map. Marker is at or near this postal address: 511 Michigan Avenue, Buffalo NY 14203, United States of America.

2. Southward - Michigan Avenue
is the Buffalo History Museum. Michigan "Avenue" seems to be used more often than Michigan "Street" as on the marker.
