1. Civil War Skirmish Marker
Inscription. On June 7, 1863, a 70-man scouting party of 5th Ind. (Union) Cavalry & 200 men of 1st Brigade of Morganís Cavalry skirmished here on farm of Mrs. F. E. Wood. Union losses were 2 killed, 4 wounded, and 15 taken prisoner. Confederates suffered no losses and freed 9 CSA prisoners. They pursued the Union soldiers to within six miles of Glasgow.

Heading east on U.S. 68 (KY-80) take second driveway PAST last entrance to the Sav-A-Lot parking lot. At the top of the hill, on the driveway, marker is to the right. This area is part of the Bowling Community Park. Marker is at or near this postal address: 1684 U.S. 68, Edmonton KY 42129, United States of America.
