Inscription.
This building constructed in 1853,
by Judge Henry V. Chamberlain,
a former mayor of Mobile, was
in 1871 and 1872, the residence of
Nicola Marschall,
who, in 1861, designed
the Confederate Flag and uniform.
Building restored by
Shirley and William Appling
1966 – 1969
