Inscription. Site of the home of Dewitt Clinton Senter, farmer and lawyer, born in Rhea County, member of the Tenn. House of Representatives, 1857-3, Tenn. Senate, 1865-69, Speaker of the Senate 1869; Governor 1869-71.
