1. Doheny State Beach Marker

Inscription. Doheny State Beach was once known as Doheny Beach State Park (1931). These pictures depict the early years at Doheny, 1934-1938, when much of the work done in the park was performed by the Civilian Conservation Corps. or CCC. The CCC enrollees that worked at Doheny lived at San Clemente State Beach in camps. The CCC groups that worked at Doheny belonged to the 467, 904, 912, 916, 1945, and 6425 companies.
