The Historical Society of New Mexico, in cooperation with the New Mexico Department of Cultural Affairs Historic Preservation Division and the U.S. Department of the Interior, makes available plaques for historic properties. These properties are to be listed in the New Mexico State Register of Cultural Properties, which is managed by the New Mexico Historic Preservation Division. Includes markers simply listing "State of New Mexico" as sponsor.
