Lafayette's Tour Historical Markers

The William G. Pomeroy Foundation has mapped the farewell tour of General Lafayette in 1824-25. The more than 200 markers indicate significant locations of his visit and general descriptions of his activities at each location. His visits often included significant parades and welcome feasts and included stops at the homes - and tombs - of founding fathers.
