Inscription. Janice Hawkins Park was named in honor of the First Lady of Troy University, a devoted wife and loving mother, whose work benefited Troy in the fine arts, service to students, internationalization of the University, and support of military veterans. Mrs. Hawkins' devotion to the appearance of the University grounds produced a campus of unmatched beauty.
