Complejo Calle de los Muertos
Concebido como un enorme complejo arquitectónico para la realización de actividades administrativas y religiosas, se compone de grandes plazas o divisiones que se presentan a partir de la plataforma-escalinata ubicada al norte del Río San Juan.

Las escaleras que delimitan las plazas de este complejo ayudan a nivelar la pendiente natural del Cerro Gordo, ubicado atrás de la Pirámide de la Luna, pues al recorrer esta sección de la Calzada de los Muertos es casi imperceptible la diferencia del nivel topográfico entre el Río San Juan y la Pirámide del Sol.

Por su ubicación y la magnitud de las construcciones se propone que el complejo fue utilizado por grupos sociales relacionados con el gobierno y la administración.

Avenue of the Dead Complex
This enormous architectural complex was built to carry out administrative and religious activities. It consists of large plazas or divisions that can be seen from the platform-staircase located north of the San Juan River.

the "Cerro Gordo's" (Gordo Mountain) natural inclination, which is located behind the Pyramid of the Moon. When walking through this part of the Avenue of the Dead, the difference in topographic levels between the San Juan River and the Pyramid of the Sun is almost unnoticeable.

Due to its location and large constructions, it is believed that the complex was used by social groups engaged in government and administrative activities.
