Forest Hills Neighborhood Art on Call

Forest Hills has two major cultural institutions in the neighborhood, the Hillwood Estate Museum & Gardens, and the Levine School of Music.
Built in 1926, the Hillwood Museum houses the remarkable collections of Marjorie Merriweather Post in the estate she purchased in 1955.
The Upton Street Campus (Sallie Mae Hall) of Levine School of Music opened in 1997. It occupies the former Geophysical Laboratory of the Carnegie Institution of Washington. Built in 1906, scientists working at the laboratory conducted vital research for the military during World War I and World War II.
